A lot of those jets just got Polaris. United loves to invest but they want a return on their investment. So they’ll suck the life out of those Polaris seats first and then upgrade them to Polaris 2.0.
I suspect the first retrofit will be the 77W as that was the first jet to get Polaris and then they work it down from there.
This is a challenge to operate a subfleet. And if you pay for Polaris SFO-SIN and get 1.0 due to a late AC swap that is a slight letdown. (More for Studio customers). Of course UA was subbing in the dreck CO product even into 2021 so this scenario isn’t nearly as awful as that was.
