But UA is not competing with other foreign carriers. They only need to be competitive against AA/DL. UA is already behind SQ, QR, etc. but they also don't transport passengers between Australia/SEA and Europe. The new UA seat is competitive to AA new J seats and DL A330neo/A350 seats and to a lesser extent to BA new Club World and AF new Opera seats.
