Indeed. It was 6 to 8 months after the "launch" that I finally experienced a Polaris flight on the routes that I frequent.
The soft product offering was night and day different compared to what it is today. Every flight over 8 hours had pajamas, the amenity kit was more robust, and the food was better. I think they were using money from the marketing budget to pull it off and then like all businesses they later curtail marketing which diminished the product.
I am skeptical of Polaris 2.0. It will be great for the first year though!
