Just a very silly conversation/entry process.
needless to say, once departing the area, there was a non-AA airport staff directing you to a separate lane that bypassed the small line that Pre-check had, so a small win.
The agents should know better, but one way to facilitate entry is to state the essentials granting access up front: Instead of "Flying to Athens", start by saying "Executive Platinum, international" and then provide further details/documentation if requested.
