I don't think the majority of the EXP crowd are dumb enough to think that group 1 is what matters. Its when they board.
Regardless, I dont particularly care what the boarding order is, as long as it is properly enforced.
I do have to chuckle though, at the hew and cry in the CK topic about not being singled out to board 1st. Many comments about "getting on first to get overhead space near their seat, and get settled" and then "after that I got a few minutes to chat with the FA's" which I find hysterical. It's as if CK has been reduced to a benefit of boarding right before or right after wheelchairs. Nice! And the remarks about "I told the GA they overlooked the CK boarding call" I'm sure gets a discreet GA eyeroll every time.
I'm with you... inconsistent group boarding enforcement is the biggest pet peeve. I don't get anything out of "look at me, i'm __ status." The buzzer of shame is a big step forward.
