The short rib was just like the regular one out of of ATL with those changes. I did notice the flight attendant at the end of the flight walking down the aisle with the big blue "refrigerated bags" which is what they keep the sad boxes. I asked and she said "these are the meals for the return flight.. Also for the record DL DID allow pre-select for the outbound ATL-GCM, including even a special "Shrimp and Grits". I do appreciate DL stepping up their game and providing a true meal on the ATL-GCM (and I assume other routes that were sad box since COVID) however I will still complain that DL is just to cheap to provide the proper catering out of GCM as there IS a catering company out of GCM that provided DL catering pre-COVID and provides other airlines catering currently out of GCM.
KUDOS for the flight crew on this flight from an ATL based crew.....turbulence but they rocked and provided great service. Service was probably even better because due to the turbulence they delayed their service in coach so we had 2 FA's working F on a 737-900 which really makes a huge difference.
