The so called robot will not be able to block the seat and no I won't change mine.
I won’t give you false hope. But did you check the website or app. The process should run roughly70 hour before the flight. But I have seen it happen on the 3 day before the flight.

Did you check in the website or app. The give different feedback if the seat is occupied or unavailable (meaning blocked)
