My 2nd Luxury Collection Sheraton, and one of the few that remain! This relic to an era gone by is almost the best of both worlds - you’re basically at the St Regis for all intents and purposes but get to stay in regal grandeur at Granny’s house (if you’re into that). Even better, the Sheraton is cheaper than the St Regis :-)

Note: As I discussed in the St Regis thread, the Sheraton is effectively a different wing of the St Regis - the staff and reception are the same - as is the breakfast venue. I checked out of the St Regis and into the Sheraton at the same desk in the same transaction.

Pros:
  • Upgraded to an Executive Suite (full suite)
  • The decor is amazing - I love it
  • The bed is great - plush mattress, plush pillows, covers of good plushness for Middle Eastern climates
  • Shower pressure from the rainfall head is quite strong
  • Living room couch was more comfortable here than the one in my suite at the St Regis
  • Welcome gift breakfast is the same as at the St Regis - still yummy with friendly service
  • The floral couches in the lounge are fantastic

Neutral:
  • The Sheraton does have a lounge that Elites seemingly get access to - there is coffee and pastries, but I’m unclear if there is an evening offering (obviously without alcohol as Kuwait is a dry country) - I went at 6 and found the same afternoon pastries

Cons:
  • Bedside outlets are hard to reach

I would come back :-)
