Sure, the grey tone is a bit jarring -- the natural tones in the renderings are far superior. And some of those additional water features and lush landscaping would have been great. But those renderings are always impossible to attain. You don't walk around and think this looks cheap. The rooms are excellent, particularly the bathrooms.

They're working out some kinks, so it probably will be better in time. It's nowhere near the caliber of Ithaafushi and it lacks the simple charm of Pedregal. But it's hardly the disappointment that people are fearing.
i haven’t seen anyone say it’s bad. It’s that it’s drastically worse looking than what promised, and jarringly dropped on those of us with reservations. Even on the day the hotel went live the website still showed the original renderings.

I’m sure one can have a wonderful experience, but the flagship level Waldorf tropical paradise that looked hewn from the cliffs in the photos is a far cry from the grey monolith that ended up opening.
