Hello from Chicago!
Excellent flight over. I opted to start the meal service 1.5 hours after takeoff, then slept for about 4 hours, before having a light meal. The seat and bed was awesome and the service was great. No complaints at all! Going to be hard to go back to PE on the return!
After receiving a grilling at the US border (agent didn’t like that I was “between jobs”), we were downtown by around 8pm via the Blue Line train.

The good stuff!
Amuse Bouche 7/10
Not my first choice as the chicken terrine wasn’t available. ‘Hot and cold salmon roll’. Nothing ‘hot’ about it, though, in fact way too refrigerated! 5/10
Lamb roast. Executed well for airplane food but not enough jus. 8/10
Cheeses 7/10
Light meal before landing consisting of fish finger sandwich. You can see how dry the bread looks from the photo. I picked at the innards and the rest went back. 3/10

We’ve got a decent high floor at the Marriott.
Time for a brief walk around the neighbourhood.
