Hi,

I am looking flying MSP -> ORD -> TYO. I can see seats on JL PE for 50k on Alaska for the ORD TYO leg. But the only options for MSP -> ORD are on AA in Y or J, so the website doesn't let me book them as one ticket. Alaska doe allow me to book the AA MSP -> ORD flight separately for 4.5k Y / 9k J.

Is it possible for me to call and book both as separate tickets, but have them on the same PNR for baggage and IRROP purposes? Or am I going to have to have to have two unconnected tickets without any connection protection?
