When the first real life pics of Le Meridien Maldives showed up a few years ago, there was concern that the OWBs looked too bland and densely packed. It turned to not be a problem at all (for me), was very private and enjoyable even though I'd been to higher-end OWBs before. So despite what I see in pics here, I believe the on-the-ground reports.
