My wife and I have put a total of 40K miles into our pool to purchase an award from Germany to SEA for one of our kids. I have the UA Explorer credit card, while my wife does not. I know we can't book LH, so I selected UA flights MUC-SFO-SEA. I keep getting an error message saying the flights are not eligible for using pooled miles. The rate is not discounted for Credit Card holders, which appears to be another limitation to using pooled miles. So what am I missing? I'd like to know if it'll ever work, so if it won't we can cancel the transfer within the 24 hour window (currently scheduled to be around 4pm PT today).
