Interestingly, Garuda is also $30 cheaper. I will have to use Batik two other times during this trip, so I guess I'll get that experience regardless. Good to know about Trip.com. Batik also appears to be bookable via Expedia as well. I'm just always wary of OTAs vs. booking directly with the airline.
Garuda is always better than Batik. Though if you're thinking of booking through an OTA, you might want to consider a couple of Indonesia's biggest ones - Traveloka and Tiket.com since they deal more closely with domestic airlines like Garuda or Batik. They're also very reputable and rescheduling or getting a refund for IRROPS is quite straightforward (at least that was my experience during Covid).
