To explain this for the OP ... Air Canada has moved away from the fare class (the letter) having any significant meaning. You can have a Basic, Standard, Flex, Comfort, or even Latitude ticket - and each of those can be available as a K class. The "brand" of the ticket you purchased is the thing that will determine things like seat cost.
