Advice requested please
Hello to the M+B experts out there.
A slightly complex scenario for your consideration and advice:
1). I flew a long-haul segment with SQ a couple of months ago which has not credited to my M+B account due to a name difference on the ticket as it was issued (full passport name) versus my M+B account name.
2). I have been told that A3 can change my account name so that the flight will credit.
3). However, I have some A3 flight sectors coming up, booked under my A3 account name (not full passport name), which I would also like to credit to my account prior to my re-qualification date.
In fact I need credits from both the previous long haul flight and the upcoming A3 flights in order to re-qualify for Gold this year
4). My cunning plan is to fly the A3 flights later this month and then immediately request the name change, but that will only be a couple of days before my re-qualification date.
My question for the M+B experts:
If the previous long haul flight credits to my account after my re-qualification date, will it credit to the membership year in which it was flown, or to the new membership year?
Logic tells me that it should credit to the membership year in which it was flown, enabling me to re-qualify, but a customer service rep told me the opposite...
Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.
TB
