Yes, it's been discussed, teased and touted for years, but a
higher-than-Elite tier “will be announced in the next six months” confirms Chief Commercial Officer Jeremy O’Brien.
As to what will this new above-elite tier be called, “you’ll have to wait to see on that one,” O’Brien teased.
“You’ll see some new branding come out,” although the hinted that “if you think about, we go from Silver to Gold, so there’s not too much rocket science to see what it might look like.”
Does this mean we could see the new tier badged as Elite Platinum? Or might Elite be potentially confusingly rebranded as Airpoints Platinum, and the
new tier become Airports Elite? Or will the ‘Elite Plus’ tag stick? Let the speculation
begin continue!
