F availability from the US seems a lot easier to find compared to departing from Japan. At least for the dates I'm looking at, I don't need to be awake at midnight to snag the US - Tokyo award. It's still sitting available a few hours later, whereas the Tokyo - US seats go within minutes after midnight JST.
