And I will completely disagree with you. It is, by and far, the biggest issue with this horrible app. Because of this issue I use the app very seldomly and far less when I have DL flights than I use the UA app when I have UA flights.

Also, if you want to find, say, your drink vouchers but are on a flight with no wifi (or the wifi doesn't work), then you're sort of hosed.
