No, I have a very modern phone and have been using FaceID for years. The issue is the constant logging in that's required. It's slow and it's a completely unnecessary use of data *every single time I load the app*. I shouldn't need to login to see flight status, look up the cost of flights, etc. When and if login becomes necessary (to see my account information/balance, to book a flight with miles, to use my stored C/C when purchasing a flight) then, and only then, should it ask me to login. United has done this from the start and that is the "right" way to do this. Delta is dying on its own hill requiring login every single time the app is used.
And I will completely disagree with you. It is, by and far, the biggest issue with this horrible app. Because of this issue I use the app very seldomly and far less when I have DL flights than I use the UA app when I have UA flights.
