Tico Taca - This is the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner. It's in front of the pool. Most entres are $30-40. Our favorite was the Pescado Al Humo which was a whole fish that was cooked on their woodfire grill, it was really good and came with a side of potatoes.
La Finca - This is attached to the other building with the main lobby. Upstairs there is a lookout that has a great place to watch a sunset. This place looked more fancy and a tad more expensive but we did not eat there
What wasn't mentioned that I'm sure will eventually become an interesting topic on this site is that they add a 10% service charge to the total bill.
Google says Costa Rican restaurants add a 10% service charge and extra tipping isn't customary. We went to an offsite restaurant (which also added a 10% service fee) and when they brought back the credit card slip there was no place to add anything extra (to me implying you don't tip)
At Tico Taca we left an extra 10% to round up to 20% total, but I'd be curious what others think.
Thank you. Some of those prices - like for dessert and pastries - are eye-popping!
