I have an award flight in J from LHR-TLV out 19th May and back 27th.
Spoken to the Gold line and been told that they have a notice on the flight until the end of June that people can cancel or be rebooked to Athens or Larnaca and then have to make their own way.
No rerouting to El Al due to no interline agreement at this point but subject to change, which seems to contradict the below?
I’m going to hold out another week or so on the basis that an El Al option becomes available, or they reinstate the route.
But if I do decide to take the option of getting myself to Israel from Athens or Larnaca, can I get reimbursement for that additional flight and any expenses? Alternatively, if I don’t cancel but make my own booking on El Al from LHR in J, will be BA be obliged to refund me for it?
Thanks!
