I'm going to rent a car for both triborders. The first will be at KRN where I'll drive to Finland and hike from there about 10KM spending the night at the border point in a Norwegian DNT cabin or nearby then hiking the 10KM back. The second will be KKN which looks much easier. Car rental itself isn't that bad, I have a fantastic global rate at Hertz. I'll ask one of my eo contacts at DL about GOH.
Krn has a hotel called ice hotel that choice points can be booked 20000 point. The base room is standard room but there are some other ice room. Not sure if it is worth to stay for normal room using points.
There is a bus from either tromso or finland to the town near the tri border nordics, there is a 3 hours boat tour to the tri border point but the bus schedule does not work for same day tromso tour.
