Disclaimer: I'm not a super frequent traveller...however, I have been going to Germany twice annually recently (family) and been renting cars. Either Sixt or Alamo/Enterprise through Costco.

I am travelling in July to Frankfurt, and decided to see what this Amex benefit would offer so joined Hertz. Having priced it vs Costco, Hertz is substantially higher. Wondering what, if any, benefit there is to this status tier, or if Hertz has any advantages.

Also, we will be arriving at Frankfurt Main Train Station...seems that my rental is substantially higher renting from there (I'm returning to FRA airport later that week) than if I just go to the airport and rent there...which obviously is slightly more inconvenient. Any comments or advice here?
