I've not stayed at the AC, but one's an AC and one is a Westin, that should probably tell you everything you need to know. The Westin is always my go-to in Ottawa as I like the hotel, it's full-service, it's got lots of suites for UG's, great breakfast in the restaurant, attached to the mall and IMO in a great location where you can walk to the Byward Market for restaurants, etc..
