I was heading back to the United States from Patagonia, but didn't have a firm routing in mind. Copa offers stopovers in Panama so it seemed interesting, I had a Hyatt targeted promo that scaled up to 90k points total for 45 nights in the promotional period so I was looking to stay at Hyatt properties if possible (it was mostly not possible in Patagonia), and this hotel happened to open just at the right time.
