I recently did an overnight stop in KUL staying in the Sama. We had to collect our bags but would have preferred not to. If you can pack an overnight bag in hand baggage it's a lot easier. Having said that note you now have to complete a digital immigration form up to three days before your arrival in KUL. I was impressed with the Sama, especially as we got upgraded to the Club floor. The buggy service is excellent.
