I am considering flying via LHR to JNB and wondering if anyone has any experience of alternatives provided for significant delay or have most people arrived within 12 hours of their scheduled flight? Have deliberately not posted this on the thread discussing the A380 as my question is specific for Johannesburg and individuals actual experience. Also, if delayed has the luggage managed to arrive on the same flight.
Am asking because, although the flights get in during the morning I will be flying out again and need to time my onward flight for the worst case scenario. There are alternative routings however the Qatar price is now almost 1.5 more than BA first and I would like to spend some time in London.
Any input appreciated
