April 2025 IAD - KEF - Stockholm meals

In April 2025 on an 8:30 pm flight from Dulles (IAD) to KEF then to Stockholm, Sweden, we couldn't pick the Meal of the Day for SAGA Premium, but for dinner, we were offered two choices for entrees.
Appetizer: cucumber and pineapple salad with red onion, cranberries and basil oil
Entree choices:
- Almond-crusted butterflied cod with mushroom risotto, roasted carrots, and dill and white wine sauce
- Fried peri-peri chicken breast with rice noodles, vegetables, cherry tomato salad, and Asian dressing
Dessert: Cheesecake topped with strawberry puree
We both got the cod, and it tasted delicious - fresh, flakey, not fishy and we don't like mushrooms but the risotto and everything was fine. Bread was served separately. I also determined that I really, really liked the Limoncello Spritz (comes in a can) but is just the right amount of sweet without being too sweet and didn't spike up my glucose levels.

For breakfast, we received:
- Croissant with topping plate of pork, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and cream cheese - croissant was a full size croissant
- Raspberry chia with mixed berries and roasted flakes - this was quite big

On our return trip, we were offered:
Lunch of cold, glazed salmon with edamame (this was good) and meatballs (husband liked)

Dinner:
- Confit chicken thigh with broccolini, roasted carrots and potatoes, and creamy mushroom sauce
- Tiramisu

Food and service was excellent both ways. From IAD to KEF, the attendant came by several times to see if we needed more drinks. Both times, the bottle of Icelandic water was waiting for us in our chairs. Noise cancelling headphones were offered and a quilted blanket for the longer legs. Amenity kit on the longer legs was still given with lip balm, lotion, eye mask, ear plugs, socks, postcards.

Seeded cheese cracker snack and the wonderful Limoncello Spritz in a can.
