My first experience of the Concorde Room since 2023 was in March this year. Service continues to be a little haphazard; it took a while for my lunch order to be taken once I was seated in Concorde Dining, and all of the unrequired crockery and cutlery was left on the table. It would also be nice if the oil and butter was placed on the table once the guest is seated, rather than being pre-placed (which invariably leads to soft room temperature butter).
Whilst on the Concorde Terrace, I received orders that I hadn't requested, which seemed to be a common theme judging by the amused and confused looks coming from many other seats.
The March menu was a little better than I remember, although I do find it odd that sides aren't offered along with the main courses. My slow roasted chicken leg was good, but not great, and could've done with some vegetable accompaniments to make it a complete meal. The branded glasses for the Pommery champagne are a little cheap-looking.
The chocolate mousse looked better than it tasted, which was sadly a little bland.
