I stayed at the hotel a few days ago after arriving in T2 since the HGI T2/3 was charging more than double the price of other LHR hotels or sold out whenever I checked. Landing to baggage claims took over one hour and baggage claims to the Hilton via Elizabeth Line took another 50 minutes. Depending on public transportation for landside transfer between terminals seems like a cheap and unreliable solution. The HEX/Elizabeth Line platform at T2,3 was packed as was T4 Elizabeth Line platform with queues of passengers trying to get out and even longer queues of passengers trying to get in. Considering the T4 Elizabeth Line station must be relatively new it is badly designed e.g. locations of the elevators. No wonder LHR is ranked 22nd while HND which is about the same size in terms of passenger numbers is ranked as the 3rd best airport by Skylax. HND (where I had just arrived from) has free inter-terminal buses every 4-6 minutes throughout the day between its 3 terminals as well as free rail links.

But this post is supposed to be about a hotel! The hotel itself was fine once I got there just before the end of cocktail hours in the executive lounge where I grabbed cans of coke, soda water and nibbles similar to what The_Banking_Scot posted earlier. I was also upgraded from the basic King Guest Room to a King Executive Room on the 4th floor facing out. The room was fine and extremely quiet although it would have been nice to have a room with a bathtub after a long flight. Travelling from the Hilton LHR T4 to central London mid-morning the following day was much easier. The Elizabeth Line platform was practically empty as was the train which was waiting for me!
