By "self-serving", you mean they like to keep their staff (and passengers) alive?

This particular attack was literally an attack aimed at the airport they fly into/out of, and it succeeded! It didn't hit any airport buildings, but it did hit airport grounds, and avoid all defence systems in doing so. Caution seems to be a fair response at this point.

Plus, it's not a week. It's 5 days (at this stage).
