Dear All:
this is in context of flying Cathay First Class from JFK to HKG and back to JFK please. thank you all in advance.
In trying to upgrade my carry on suitcase from a 2-wheeler to a newer model 4-wheeler "spinner" style, i am asked if i want to buy a "US domestic sized carry on" or an "international sized carry on".
the US domestic-sized carry on is slightly larger than the international sized carry on.
checking on the often recommended Briggs & Riley 4-wheel spinner:
https://www.briggs-riley.com/product...rry-on-spinner
i do see that they make another model that is almost the same but ever so slightly smaller.
may i ask if the good folks here have experience with how strict Cathay's First Class would be with such small size differences please? should i feel comfortable buying the so-called US Domestic-sized carry on spinner (from the above link), or might they be so strict that a mere couple of inches might cause issues?
in the old days, at some airports, they used to have a box of sorts where one must put one's carry on suitcase INTO that "box". if your carry on can't fit into that box, then you can't carry it onto the plane. i haven't seen one of those in a very long time. wondering if other parts of the airport staff situation or ground staff or parts of security or others might be so strict on such small size differences?
thank you all in advance. much appreciated.
