How far in advance do I need to cancel? 1 minute before the pickup time? 3 hours before? Or? Because at some point prior to pick up time they make it impossible to cancel your reservation online. And if you are on a plane that is running late you can't call their reservations phone line to make changes or cancel.
If you stop renting from Hertz, you don't have to worry about any of that.
