I was just wondering, has anybody here ever converted IHG One Rewards points to British Airways Avios?

I've converted other hotel points to Avios before and it was always an easy ONLINE process of filling in the relevant details. However, I've noticed with IHG, you have to phone their customer service centre instead in order to do this (no online option).

Do they repeat back to you, the membership numbers you supplied, to ensure they have the correct details? After the call, do you get confirmation of the transaction?

Just want to hear some (hopefully successful and problem free) examples of people who have done this please
