Some pictures from yesterday's BA113.
During the 3 hour ground delay we were only given one additional round of (very stingy) PDBs. I had to ask for nuts; no snacks were offered proactively even though there were several times when the delay was known to be at least another 30 mins or so.
And due to the delay, the crew needed to take additional rest during the flight and the meals were close to exploring. Therefore, they served the main meal on one plate immediately after departure (before serving the pre-ordered drinks, so just water with the main meal). And the second meal was mostly skipped, with only a warm muffin being offered.
Now don't get me wrong, the main meal was really tasty actually, and I especially liked the cake. Plus the IFL who was serving me was very pleasant and apologetic, and also offered to help with connections (I sorted it with BAH via email).
But the overall experience was far from what it should have been, so I am half inclined to complain about that in addition to claiming the compensation and expenses I am entitled to (missed connection and thus unexpected overnight stay in JFK). Probably a waste of time though, I can't imagine them giving service recovery on top of the mandated compensation.
