It absolutely is that. It was free on my flight from BNA to LAS this evening but the speeds were horrible to say the least. You could barely even get the flight tracker to load at times.
I tried to use my work laptop but the speed wasn’t strong enough to load the authentication page that our company uses to get into our websites.
In order to enhance our Customer
™ experience, we have instituted a cap on maximum data speeds of 0.5 Kbps. Choice™ and Choice™ Extra™™ Customers™ may upgrade their speeds to 5 Kbps for a fee of $8, which expires after 15 minutes or descent to 18,000 ft, whichever is sooner.
Basic™ fare customers may obtain internet access by paying $27 and declining to consume any Maui Monk™ snacks.
This change in policy is being made at the request of our Cohearts™ to increase dynamic synergies and revenue.
