I do have ~ 70 Chase applications during past 20-25 years (~40 pers, ~30 sole prop biz using SSN) along with many Chase recon calls, I’ve never been told and never even thought for a second or been led to believe that Chase is looking at pers plus biz. CL cannot be reallocated between Chase pers and biz, biz cards do not count toward 5/24. I’ve long done one procedure for Chase personal applications (consolidate CLs and plan to reallocate to get an approval) and the opposite procedure (preemptively reduce CLs in the hope of instant approval) for Chase biz applications, with very few denials. To me, there’s zero evidence that Chase looks at pers plus biz.
True/not true i don't know. I speak from personal experience from what recon rep told me from last application. She told me I was at the max credit limit with Chase (pers+biz) and they would not extend more credit (i believe this limit is based on my financials, so ymmv). She told me my limits for personal and business accounts. I asked her if I can move credit from biz to pers (since i was opening a pers cc) and was told no, had to be pers to pers (which I already knew). But I also have 13 active credit cards currently with Chase between pers/biz so can totally see me being at max credit limit Seems like chase does not have a limit on # of credit cards like AMEX, as long as you have the min credit limit required to open the account they would approve it.
