I'm probably way off here as I know less than nothing about flying to/from the Philippines or the airline but some of these "partnerships" seem pretty obscure and irrelevant. As a Hawaii resident I was initially excited about AS and Mokulele Airlines joining up but quickly realized it was nothing more than a press release and photo-op. I fly Mokulele once a month or so and always enjoy the blank stare I get from the gate agent when I ask about earning AS miles or even any awareness of the partnership. I hope for anyone concerned that this one is more than just a yawn.
