Has anybody had any recent stays at Amandari to comment on recent experiences? All the reports when I search are quite old and I’m mindful that service / staff can change. We have never been, but if going to the Ubud area with our kids we are looking at either there or FS Sayan.
I have been to Amandari a handful of times, the last being 2022 though. I believe Michel is still GM, and if he is then I wouldn't worry about service, he is a legacy Aman manager and will have everything running well even if staff has turned over a bit, he is also always present and available if he is on property.
Amandari is still an Aman of old, it is not flashy but classic Balinese architecture and just an ultimate sense of place. I have never had a bad stay there, the staff have always been fantastic and it is just a special property for so many reasons. FS Sayan is just different, quite a bit larger and more modern feel even though it is probably 30 years old now.
