Not sure about beach cabana. But as far as pool cabanas go, we did not. But we ended up liking the chairs in between cabanas, which felt like we were in a cabana ourselves even though we didn’t have to pay for it. We got good shade from the adjacent cabana all day long and felt tucked away in semi-privacy which was good.

The three days we were there, we had no problem snagging these chairs in between cabanas (see photo). You do have to go a bit early to claim your favorite spot. If you don’t want to deal with all that and want to be certain, then you should probably just reserve the cabana, though.

The thing about these cabanas is that they are so close together that, if you want some privacy, you have to close the side curtains which could limit your ocean view. But sometimes the sea breeze gets so strong that the curtains could get real noisy.
