The original route was STR - LIN - FCO - HND - FCO - LIN - STR: 2,5 hours in LIn and 2,5 hours in FCO.
first change meant an overnight on the way to Japan in LIN and the 40 connection which is now 45 minutes.
Then the LH takeover happened and STR - LIN was scrapped. So now we were given STR - FRA - LIN - FCO - HND - FCO - FRA - STR. A stop more and an extra night in Rome. Asked for an earlier LIN - FCO flight because of the 40 minutes and both times I called a supervisor denied my request. Reason given was that we flew business class and the connections were legal. Flying direct from FRA to FCO was also denied twice. They offered a refund but with the fare we booked the tickets for, that would have been unwise option.
I also did some dummy bookings. I let it rest and see if any flight changes will give me more options, if not I will talk to a service agent in Linate and see if they can rebook us on an earlier flight the next morning.
