The menu is the same as one that has been posted repeatedly over the last month. I told the crew that I had a cheese allergy which they acknowledged; I’d run out of time to call up to add it to my booking as has been suggested by others.
Salmon starter. Was very cold and not very tasty, probably should’ve gone for the soup in hindsight. I didn’t really eat this. Also feel like the trout was missing unless I’m confusing something else?
Lamb main. The meat and vegetables were really nice but the gratin was very oily and tasted a bit odd. Note that I didn’t try the side salad as it contained cheese (despite me telling the crew I had an allergy).
I asked if I could try both sweet desserts and they were happy to do this. Both were great; I started with the lemon meringue bar which was very lemony.
And the chocolate, walnut and orange cake which again was really good. I don’t think it needed the vanilla sauce.
The Club Kitchen wasn’t the best I’ve seen, the only food items were some crisps.
For the second meal, due to my cheese allergy I was only able to have the chocolate muffin which was fine but nothing amazing.
I’ve put in a complaint about the volume of cheese dishes including almost the entirety of the pre-landing meal, we’ll see what the response is.
