I got the same email.
I can't believe they are nerfing this card now, just a couple weeks after I decided to NOT apply for the Smartly 4% card because I have an OG PL card that gives me 3.3% CB.
Damn it... what a crock. I have 2k points that I have to redeem asap before I sock-drawer this now-worthless card. Can I book a priceline stay somewhere with free cancellation, pay, redeem, and then cancel the reservation? I've done this organically a couple times over the last 10 years and it appears to be a way to get the 1.5x points redemption at any time.
What card to get now?? This really sucks.
