It has significantly more legroom then 16GH (or 17GH or 18GH). You will be able to get out of 17A with 16AB fully reclined and 17B fully extended if you are of average dexterity. There is no way you will get out of 16/17/18H in the same situation (seat in front fully reclined and adjacent seat fully extended) - the seat back intrudes far too much for you to go around the adjacent footrest.

Also, with 17A you get 3.5 storage lockers. 16AB also has the same amount of room and 3 storage lockers, so it is a good alternate. Only bad part is the overhead air vents point to your waist.
