Have booked an itinerary through LH, combo of UA, 4Y and Lh flights. I would like to inquire about a paid upgrade on the United flight from Newark to Palermo. It is a UA operated floght ticketed through LH. Called United and said they can't because it is LH ticket stock. Called LH and they say they can't because its a UA flight. Suggestions?
It's an LH ticket. There is no UA ticket number. There will be a UA PNR (aka confirmation number or record locator). Either UA or LH can give you that. I'd call UA and give them the flight details; they can then give you the UA PNR. You may or may not be able to purchase a paid upgrade of the UA operated flight through UA.
