Thank you for the minority opinion, I appreciate your honesty and the integrity needed to post a minority opinion (these days). My takeaway from replies to my inquiry and Tripadvisor reviews, is that this hotel is hit or (more often) miss.

I just booked Thompson CP for Fleet Week for the 3rd year in a row. Called MHC immediately after booking (award stay), initially said no SUA availability, asked her to call hotel, hold for 3-5 minutes, came back with “high floor studio suite confirmed”. Hoping for Fleet Week next year Hyatt Regency Times Square will be open and available for a reasonable # of points and SUA.

And the block from Hershey’s Store to M&Ms Store to Krispy Kreme Store 😉, best sugar (and chocolate) high this side of the Pecos or this side of the Mississippi or Rockies or anywhere else for that matter .

Good news, for us Hyatt loyalists, is that Krispy Kreme Store is on the ground floor of the soon-to-be Hyatt Regency Times Square 😊, half a block from hotel entrance.
