For UA status, one must have at least four UA operated segments (PQF) (flight numbers don't matter and UA codeshares of other carrier operated flights don't count) AND you must credit the UA MP program. UA status earned on UA flights is based on the fare, PQPs

15 PQF and 5,000 PQP or 6,000 PQP for Silver
30 PQF and 10,000 PQP or 12,000 PQP Gold
