they aren't putting new scanners in to t3 now - that is no longer the plan after they ditched the refurb of t3 security about a year ago. the plan is as noted that effectively t1 is used for check in and security and then walk across to t3 for the gates.
I thought the plan was that once Terminal 2 was completed, all airlines were moving out of T1 to T2 and T1 would be demolished as it was no longer fit for purpose.
Is this no longer the case? Is T1 going to remain open as it doesn't make sense (at least to me) to keep T1 check in & security open just for T3 departing flights.
