If there was a limit, I'd assume it would have been included in the Ts/Cs; so it sounds like upgrade is available for every flight WHEN AVAILABLE (they'll probably all be snatched up right at T-48)

Benefits don't carry over to a separately booked ticket, regardless of relationship
